A fully up and running legal medical marijuana market could possibly lead Michigan to millions in new state tax revenue. Governor Rick Snyder signed off to new regulations for the state’s medical marijuana industry that will be taking effect in December. According to the Senate Fiscal Agency, this will require a 3 percent excise tax on dispensaries’ gross sales receipts that could yield $21.2 million annually in revenue. Michigan could be the third-largest state in the medical marijuana market by 2020, with $556 million in projected sales that year. This would rank the state behind California and Colorado, and head of Arizona and Oregon reported by the ArcView Market Research.
Washington DC start-up company, New Frontier Data is close to completing a $5 million funding round to expand its work in data research for the legal marijuana industry. Merida Capital Partners led this round in funding by investing close to $2 million. The funding will be used to add new staff and open a sales and marketing office in Denver, Colorado with hopes of opening another office in California. As for New Frontier’s platform, the plan is to expand the company’s efforts in analyzing previous and future data. According to New Frontier founder and CEO, the push for legalizing medical and recreational use is picking up speed which for New Frontier could mean a lot more financial interest.

More stories are emerging proving the efficacy of cannabis with regards to its ability to treat and cure cancer. For decades, studies have proven that cannabis can treat as well as completely kill cancer cells. Not long ago, a European based pharmaceutical company, GW Pharmaceuticals, started the very first human trials that are using cannabis to treat brain cancer. You can read more about that here.
Unfortunately, the results from that trial won’t be available for another couple of years, but unofficial human trials are being conducted everyday by cancer sufferers around the world.
Stan and Barb Rutner are part of a continually growing list of people who have used, and are using cannabis to treat and cure their cancer. Stan and Barb Rutner are currently in their 70s, and both have had bouts with cancer. Approximately 20 years ago, Stan was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma. After treating the cancer for approximately six months, the cancer returned in 2011, and he cured it with cannabis.
There are so many stories like Stan and Barbs’, and the list continues to grow. It’s important to share these stories around, and provide the scientific evidence along with them so people can truly see the healing power of cannabis. See the process Stan went through in the video below.

I think it’s absurd to continually push cancer patients towards chemotherapy without examining other options that seem to be having high success rates. Along with chemotherapy, I think patients should be encouraged to explore alternative treatments, as well as dietary options in order to help them heal.
Below is a video that gives us all something to think about.
